Preface
In the intricate tapestry of our existence, we find ourselves inexorably intertwined with the elements that shape our world. This collection of essays delves into five distinct yet interconnected facets of the human experience, exploring the delicate dance between humanity and the forces that surround us.
These are my original essays. These essays are originally dedicated to English speaking readers. I am a Russian language learner so I feel that Russian-speaking people have equal rights on these essays, so I translated it into Russian language. Translation is the process in which the translator crosses the ocean of two languages in a small boat, sometimes He drowns in the ocean of words and sentences and He goes missing, but if he crosses the ocean he has the pearl that adorns the original work in another language.
This collection not only showcases the author’s original insights and perspectives but also extends a bridge of understanding through translation into Russian. By presenting these essays in their native language and offering Russian translations, the author seeks to foster a cross-cultural dialogue, inviting readers from diverse backgrounds to engage with the rich tapestry of ideas woven within these pages.
My mother, Mrs. Manju Dixit and father, Mr. Jai Gopal Dixit in whom I see the i of God, contributed to this book by giving away the quality time they could have spent with me. Although this book is a treat for English-speaking readers it is also an outcome of the supreme sacrifice of time by my parents and my elder brother Mr. Durgesh Dixit.
This endeavour would not have been possible without the guidance and expertise of esteemed individuals who have dedicated their lives to the study and teaching of languages. В запутанном гобелене нашего существования мы оказываемся неумолимо переплетены со стихиями, которые формируют наш мир. Этот сборник эссе посвящен пяти различным, но взаимосвязанным сторонам человеческого опыта, исследуя тонкий танец между человечеством и силами, которые нас окружают.
Это мои оригинальные эссе. Изначально эти эссе посвящены англоязычным читателям. Я изучаю русский язык, поэтому считаю, что русскоязычные люди имеют равные права на эти эссе, поэтому я перевел их на русский язык. Перевод – это процесс, в котором переводчик пересекает океан двух языков на маленькой лодке, иногда он тонет в океане слов и предложений и пропадает без вести, но если он пересекает океан, то у него есть жемчужина, которая украшает оригинальное произведение на другом языке.
Этот сборник не только демонстрирует оригинальные мысли и взгляды автора, но и перекидывает мост понимания через перевод на русский язык. Представляя эти эссе на родном языке и предлагая их перевод на русский, автор стремится содействовать межкультурному диалогу, приглашая читателей из разных слоев общества приобщиться к богатому гобелену идей, сотканному на этих страницах.
Моя мать, госпожа Манджу Дикшит, и отец, господин Джай Гопал Дикшит, в котором я вижу образ Бога, внесли свой вклад в создание этой книги, отдав то время, которое они могли бы провести со мной. 1.Cyber crime – critical issues
Human beings have progressed at a rapid pace thanks to their brain. Its progress in the field of science and technology is phenomenal. While technological progress has crossed the boundaries of the whole world through the Internet, the revolution of information and connectivity has been made available to all people. At the same time, in the race for this progress, man has a distorted mentality and Due to greed, many immoral and unlawful activities were also performed, one of the main ones being cybercrime.
Cybercrime is a computer and internet-based immoral, unlawful act, in which the offender has no physical identity. He can single-handedly do online activities through technology while sitting from anywhere in the world.
Due to the advancement of technology, the scope of cybercrime has become very wide, but still, some of the major cyber crimes are – Hacking, virus attacks, money laundering, ransomware, stealing money from bank accounts, online fraud, cheating money by creating fake employment portals, making fake IDs, leaking data, spam, making obscene videos and posting them on the internet and blackmailing, cyberstalking. Phishing, insulting on social networking sites by creating false identities etc. are prominent.
A few years ago a ransomware attack called WannaCry hit many computers in America, Europe and India. Apart from this, the websites of Kerala Police and some universities were also hacked. And also a few days ago, lakhs of rupees were looted in the name of employment by creating a fake website of the Environment Protection Department. Every day there is information in newspapers about money going missing from bank accounts. Every day there is information about blackmailing on the internet by making obscene videos. AI has further promoted cybercrime.
If we search for the causes of cybercrime, we find that lack of physical identity, internet-based operation possible from anywhere, lack of digital awareness, lack of efficient IT cell, lack of strict law, lack of global unanimity, and lack of internet security. Due to shortages and global competition, enemy countries also launch cyber attacks.
Since the nature of cybercrime is widespread, its impact is also on a large scale. Due to this, both the sovereignty of the country and the privacy of the individual are in danger. Economic damage also occurs on a large scale. Leaking of information affects privacy and there is also a possibility of misuse of information. Sometimes the psychological pressure due to blackmailing due to cyber crime increases so much that people even commit suicide.
There is a personal data protection law in this regard in India. The Cyber Crime Control Branch works separately and there is also a system for reporting crime through online mediums. The Cybercrime.gov.in portal has been launched by the Central Government. Any person can file a complaint on this in his name or by hiding his name. In this regard, recently the Government of India has recommended the formation of a special force (IT cells) of the Army.
Understanding the seriousness of this problem, many efforts have been made at the global level. The Budapest Convention on Cyber Crime is a very important effort. It is an international treaty that seeks to address Internet and computer-related crime by harmonizing national laws, improving investigative techniques, and increasing cooperation among nations. It came into force on 1 July 2004. India is not a signatory to this convention. The Internet Governance Forum also has an important contribution. It brings together all stakeholders, i.e. government, private sector and civil society on Internet governance discussions. The United Nations General Assembly has established two procedures on security issues in the information and communications technology environment. There is also an open-ended working group through resolution by Russia and a government expert group through resolution by the United States.
Concern was expressed over the increasing incidents of cybercrime in the meeting of the Digital Economy Working Group of G-20 countries held in India. To stop this, an in-principle agreement was reached among all the member countries on creating a control center at the global level. Under this, member countries will inform each other about cyber and virus attacks and will also alert each other to prevent them. The need for a global cyber police has also been felt.
